PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT
BADGEHUB NOW SUPPORTS NFC WALLET CREDENTIALS
Organizations can now issue secure NFC Wallet Credentials directly to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet alongside physical ID badges and BadgeHub GO virtual credentials.
There’s been a lot of noise in the industry lately around mobile credentials versus physical badges.
But here’s the thing: organizations were never supposed to choose one or the other.
Different credentials solve different problems. And now, BadgeHub supports all of them on a single connected platform.
BadgeHub now officially supports NFC Wallet Credentials, allowing organizations to issue secure digital credentials directly to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet alongside physical ID badges and BadgeHub GO virtual badges.
That means one platform and multiple ways for cardholders to securely carry and use their credentials.
ONE PLATFORM. MULTIPLE CREDENTIAL OPTIONS.
NFC WALLET CREDENTIALS
Cardholders can now receive a secure credential directly to their Apple Wallet or Google Wallet and tap compatible NFC readers using the phone already in their hand. No separate app required.
And the best part? Everything is still managed inside BadgeHub, so organizations don’t have to deal with disconnected systems, separate credential platforms, or additional software just to support mobile access.
HOW NFC CREDENTIALS WORK
The experience is designed to feel as simple as issuing a physical badge.
There’s no waiting on badge printing, no need to physically hand off a credential, and no scrambling to track down lost cards when access needs to change.
PHYSICAL ID BADGES STILL MATTER
This isn’t about choosing between physical and mobile credentials. It’s about giving organizations the flexibility to use both. Visual identification still matters. A lot.
VISUAL IDENTIFICATION STILL MATTERS
Schools still rely on clear staff and student visibility, healthcare organizations need fast visual verification, government facilities require trusted visual identification, and enterprise environments continue to benefit from visible identification and branding.
NFC Wallet Credentials simply add another layer of flexibility to the identity experience.
Some organizations will lean more heavily on physical badges, others will embrace mobile credentials, and many will find that using both creates the best overall experience.
Now they can manage all of it from the same place.
BUILT FOR REAL-WORLD USE
NFC Wallet Credentials are designed for environments where speed, convenience, and security matter.
Whether someone is walking into a school, tapping into an office, or onboarding remotely, the credential experience should feel seamless. That’s the goal.
SECURITY WASN’T AN AFTERTHOUGHT
Convenience only works if security keeps up.
ENCRYPTED PROVISIONING
Credentials are securely provisioned end-to-end and never transmitted in plain text.
DEVICE BOUND SECURITY
Credentials are tied directly to a specific device and cannot be transferred.
BIOMETRIC AUTHENTICATION
Supports Face ID, Touch ID, and Android biometrics for an added layer of security.
INSTANT REVOCATION
Remove access immediately through BadgeHub without tracking down physical cards.
FULL AUDIT TRAILS
Access activity is logged for reporting, visibility, and compliance requirements.
MICROSOFT AZURE HOSTED
Built on trusted Microsoft Azure infrastructure for enterprise-grade reliability.
On Apple devices, credentials can even work in Express Mode, allowing users to tap without unlocking their phone.
ONE MORE STEP TOWARD CONNECTED IDENTITY
Identity shouldn’t stop at the badge.
And it definitely shouldn’t be limited by disconnected systems.
With NFC Wallet Credentials now supported in BadgeHub, organizations have more flexibility in how they issue, manage, and experience identity across their environment. Whether someone prefers a physical badge, a virtual credential, or the convenience of their phone’s native wallet, everything stays connected and managed from the same BadgeHub platform.
