ODBC for Data Connector

This guide will walk you through the steps to configure a Microsoft Access database as a source for the BadgePass Data Connector.

 Step 1: Configure the Data Source

  1. In the Windows search bar, type:
    ODBC Data Sources (64-bit)
    and click to open it.

  1. Under the User DSN tab, click Add.

  1. Select **Microsoft Access Driver (.mdb, .accdb) and click Finish.

  1. In the ODBC Microsoft Access Setup window:
    • Enter a Data Source Name (e.g., AccessSample).
    • Click Select next to Database.

    • Navigate to and select the Access Sample database file.

    • Click OK to save.

 Step 2: Set Up a New Profile in Data Connector

  1. Open BadgePass Data Connector.
  2. Click the + icon under Profiles to create a new profile.

  1. Enter a name for your profile (e.g., Access Profile).

 Step 3: Define the Data Source

  1. Under Type, click the dropdown menu and select Access.

  1. Under Source, select the Access data source you just created.
  2. Under Table, choose the table from the Access database (e.g., Access Database Sample).

  1. Click Add Data.

 Step 4: Configure the Destination Fields

  1. Navigate to the Destination Fields section.
  2. Select the Entity you want to map the data to (e.g., Employee, Cardholder, etc.).
  3. Hit the Add Botton and Add Standard Fields
  4. Match each Source Field (from the database) to the correct Destination Field.
    • Drag or select to map them accordingly.

 Step 5: Save the Profile

Once all fields are mapped correctly:

  • Click Save to complete your profile setup.

Your Data Connector profile is now configured and ready to use!
