Credentials types are a great way to maximize your use of BadgeHub by adding various forms of Access Control tools as an integrated process in your BadgeHub system. BadgeHub supports both SmartCard enrollment and Pin number assignments for door readers. Refer to the instructions below to set these up.
SmartCard Enrollment:
- Sign into your BadgeHub portal and access the database drop down.
- Select Set Up then select Credential Types
- You will have the option to add, edit and delete credential types.
- Select + and name the credential type.
- Select the Smart format in the drop-down menu.
- Select “Save” to complete the action.
Pin Number Assignment:
- Sign into your BadgeHub portal and access the database drop down.
- Select Set Up then select Credential Types
- You will have the option to add, edit and delete credential types.
- Select the and name the credential type.
- Select the Pin credential type in the format drop-down menu.
- You can choose to assign variable or static pins that can then be assigned in the BadgeHub App.
- Variable Pins are pins that are longer than 4 digits and require a * and # symbol to enter the pin on the reader that is being used.
- Static Pins are 4-digit pins that require a simple entering of the digits to execute the action on the reader.
