How do I start using BadgePass ONE for card production?
BadgePass ONE is easily downloadable from the Windows or Apple App store for use on your computer or mobile device. However, login credentials tied to an active subscription will be required before using the software. Contact us to get your account set up today!
Do I need to install anything on my computer?
The App is easily downloadable from the Windows or Apple App store. The backend portal is accessed via a web browser with active account credentials and no install is required.
Unlike traditional ID systems, the Connect card printer does NOT require a card printer driver; all it needs is an IP address and network connection.
Can I import my existing database?
Yes. You can import your existing cardholder database in a .csv file format. The import process is performed manually in the portal. It is not run on an automated schedule.
Can I create my own database fields?
Yes. The system includes many standard database fields; however, it also offers unlimited custom data fields. Field types can be configured as text fields, number fields, list fields or date fields.
You can also create privacy masking for certain fields if you have users that you don’t want to grant permissions to view personal details about cardholders during production.
How do I update the software?
The app will update automatically if your device settings are configured appropriately. If you don’t allow automatic updates, you can easily visit the app store to download the latest update, as they become available. The backend portal updates automatically, and the latest version is available every time you log in.
How can I capture photos?
The easiest way to capture photos with BadgePass ONE is to use the camera built into your device (ex: camera on your phone and/or tablet). If you’re using a desktop computer, we have webcam options that work seamlessly with the app and are extremely easy to use.
You can also import an image from a file or from your mobile device and apply it to a cardholder record.
How many card designs can I have?
There is no limit to the number of card designs you can create in the system. Many customers have different designs for different types of cardholders. Our graphic design team can even assist with badge design if you’d like assistance with the process!
How does the software interface with my card printer?
Unlike other cloud badging applications, there is no need for a printer driver when you pair BadgePass ONE with the Connect card printer. Instead, the app communicates directly with the printer via the printer’s IP address on your network.
What capabilities does the Connect card printer have?
The BadgePass Connect printer offers high quality card printing at incredibly fast print speeds. Single and dual sided print options are available, as well as magnetic stripe encoding.
Also, the Connect printer is the first of its kind, allowing for direct communication with the BadgePass ONE application without the need for a local printer driver.
How do I determine the cost of the system?
Your subscription price is based on the size of your subscription package (number of cardholder records in your database) and the number of print plans you select.
What is included with my subscription?
Your subscription includes all software required for enrollment, photo capture and badge production, as well as access to the backend portal. Each subscription includes access to the system for up to 200 users and the ability to print up to the number of records available with your subscription package at no additional cost each year. (Ex: A 200 record subscription package can print up to 200 cards with no additional costs). Supplies (card printer ribbons and cleaning kits) are also included in this price, as well as service and support.
How am I billed for the service?
Your account will be activated the date you log-in to the system and sign your Master Agreement. After that, depending on whether you chose a monthly subscription plan or annual subscription plan, your account will automatically be charged each month or each year of the date it was activated.
We accept credit card or ACH payments via the billing portal.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Customers using the software without a print package can cancel at any time with no cancellation fees. Customers who do elect to subscribe to a print plan agree to a 36-month subscription. If you choose to cancel prior to the end of that contract, a cancellation fee will apply. The cancellation fee automatically reduces each month of the contract and costs for that can be viewed in the portal at any time.
